Objectives:
Upon the completion of this CNE article, the reader will be able to

the incidence of anencephaly and the theories behind its development.
2. Discuss
the ultrasound appearance of anencephaly and other anomalies associated with
this congenital defect.
3. Describe
the psychological adaptation that couples experience once this diagnosis is
made.
